The Ultimate Fighting Championship will stage its first event in Qatar on 22 November 2025 under a new partnership with state-backed tourism body Visit Qatar. The card, designated as a UFC Fight Night, is scheduled for the ABHA Arena in Doha. UFC Chief Executive Officer Dana White said the deal reflects the promotion’s strategy to broaden its global footprint beyond long-standing Middle East host Abu Dhabi. “We’re going everywhere,” White told reporters, adding that negotiations to bring the mixed-martial-arts organisation to Qatar had been in progress for several years. Visit Qatar Chief Executive Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi said the collaboration supports the Gulf state’s push to position itself as a hub for major sports events and will showcase Qatar’s “sporting excellence and cultural richness” to UFC’s estimated 700 million-strong global fan base.
