Prime Healthcare has finalized the acquisition of eight hospitals in Illinois from Ascension, including facilities such as Ascension St. Francis, St. Mary-Kankakee, and St. Joseph-Joliet. The deal also includes four post-acute and senior living facilities and two ambulatory surgery centers. Prime has committed $250 million for facility upgrades and will preserve charity care programs. Community Health Systems (CHS) has completed the sale of its ShorePoint Health System in Florida to AdventHealth for $265 million. The assets include AdventHealth Port Charlotte, a medical practice near Venice, a free-standing emergency room in Cape Coral, and a closed hospital in Punta Gorda. AdventHealth CEO Adam Johnson will lead the Port Charlotte facility, and the company plans to work with the Punta Gorda community to determine future healthcare services. Coforge has entered into a 13-year, $1.56 billion partnership with U.S.-based Sabre Technologies to provide AI-enabled travel technology solutions. The agreement aims to accelerate Sabre's product delivery and innovation. The Ensign Group has acquired five nursing homes and expanded its operations into two new states, further strengthening its presence in the healthcare sector.
