Ripple has entered a strategic partnership with UAE-based tokenization platform Ctrl Alt to supply institutional-grade custody technology for the Dubai Land Department’s Real Estate Tokenization Project. The initiative will issue property title deeds as tokens on the public XRP Ledger, allowing fractional ownership and real-time verification while relying on Ripple Custody for secure storage. The deal is Ripple’s first custody agreement in the United Arab Emirates and is described by the company as the first time a government real-estate registry in the Middle East has placed title deeds on a public blockchain. Ctrl Alt, which recently secured a Virtual Asset Service Provider licence from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, will handle local implementation and lifecycle management of the tokenized assets. Reece Merrick, Ripple’s managing director for the Middle East and Africa, called the project “forward-thinking” and said it underscores Dubai’s ambition to become a global digital-asset hub. The pilot phase is already under way, and the effort dovetails with broader municipal plans to digitize city services. Following the announcement, XRP rose nearly 4% to trade just under $3, according to CryptoSlate data.
