Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said "a lot was done" during U.S. envoy Witkoff’s recent visit to Moscow and that Moscow hopes to continue what he described as a productive dialogue when the two sides convene in Alaska. Later in the day, the Kremlin told state news agencies RIA and Interfax that Russia expects the Alaska talks to "bear results" and warned that meaningful progress is a prerequisite for holding a subsequent three-party meeting, the participants of which were not specified.
