Russia’s Energy Ministry is working with domestic oil producers to activate additional reserve refining capacity, the Interfax news agency reported on Monday. The measure is intended to lift fuel output and ease emerging gasoline shortages that have been reported in several Russian regions and in territories Moscow controls in Ukraine. Supply strains have intensified after recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries coincided with a seasonal rise in demand.
