FC Barcelona has completed the signing of England forward Marcus Rashford on a loan deal from Manchester United that runs until 30 June 2026 and includes an option to make the move permanent, the Spanish champions confirmed on 23 July. Financial details were not disclosed, but Spanish media report Barcelona will cover roughly 75 percent of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week salary and can purchase the 27-year-old for about €30 million to €35 million at the end of the loan. Rashford arrives after making 426 appearances and scoring 138 goals for Manchester United, and following a short spell at Aston Villa in which he scored four times in 17 matches. He will wear the No. 14 shirt once used by Thierry Henry. Describing Barcelona as a “family club” that “feels like home,” Rashford said his goal is to “win the biggest trophies” under coach Hansi Flick. The move also fulfils the forward’s recent public wish to line up alongside 17-year-old prodigy Lamine Yamal.
