FC Barcelona has reached agreement with Manchester United to take forward Marcus Rashford on a season-long loan that includes an option to make the transfer permanent for about €30 million, according to multiple reports on 20 July. United have granted the 27-year-old permission to fly to Catalonia and he is expected to land at El Prat airport on Sunday evening before undergoing a medical on Monday. Rashford, who earned close to €18 million a season in England, has accepted a salary reduction to facilitate the move. Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick plans to include the England international in the squad for the club’s pre-season tour of Asia, which begins later this week. Rashford would become Barça’s third signing of the summer after goalkeeper Joan García and teenage winger Roony Bardghji, and is seen as a key reinforcement on the left flank after the club failed to land Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
