Columbus Crew overturned a two-goal deficit to defeat Supporters’ Shield leaders FC Cincinnati in Saturday night’s “Hell is Real” derby, tightening the race at the top of Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference. Cincinnati surged ahead at TQL Stadium when Brazilian playmaker Evander scored in the first minute and again four minutes later. Columbus responded through Diego Rossi midway through the half and drew level before the interval when Max Arfsten finished from close range. The visitors completed the turnaround early in the second period and substitute Taha Habroune added a late goal that put the result out of reach. The victory snaps Cincinnati’s unbeaten home run and extends Columbus’s own good form, positioning the reigning MLS Cup holders firmly in contention for both conference supremacy and the league-wide points title.
