Paris Saint-Germain has signed 19-year-old goalkeeper Renato Marin on a free transfer after the teenager opted not to renew his deal with AS Roma. The Brazilian-born shot-stopper, who represents Italy at under-19 level, agreed a contract running until June 2030, the French champions said in a statement on Thursday. Marin joined Roma’s academy in 2022, winning a youth Scudetto with the club’s U17 side before training regularly with the first team last season. At 1.90 metres tall, he is regarded as a modern keeper comfortable with the ball at his feet—an attribute prized by PSG coach Luis Enrique. He is expected to start the campaign as the club’s third-choice behind Gianluigi Donnarumma and Matvey Safonov while providing a long-term option between the posts.
