Racing Club de Lens has secured 20-year-old French Under-21 goalkeeper Robin Risser on a five-year contract, the Ligue 1 side announced Friday. The deal ends Lens’s months-long search for a new first-choice keeper after a high-profile social-media video styled on “The Simpsons” teased the signing earlier in the day. Risser arrives from Strasbourg, where he was under contract after a loan season at third-tier Red Star. He is expected to become Lens’s No. 1 following the departures of Brice Samba to Rennes and Mathew Ryan, whose short-term stint failed to convince the club’s new coach Pierre Sage. Lens had previously targeted Reims’s Yehvann Diouf and Marseille’s Pau López without success.
