Google is extending its generative-AI assistant Gemini to Google Docs on Android, bringing the company’s artificial-intelligence capabilities to mobile users within its productivity suite. The update lets Docs users generate drafts, receive instant summaries and automate tasks such as recurring calendar events through Scheduled Actions, while Gemini now operates as the underlying engine across Google Workspace to reduce the need for app-switching when creating content. The rollout follows announcements at Google I/O 2025, where Google introduced Gemini 2.5, Imagen 4 and Veo 3. The latest version of the video generator offers differentiable 4K output with ambient audio, Motion Controls, Lucid Realism and Omni Editing, and has been made available in Latin America through the Google AI Pro subscription service.
