MetaMask has introduced a new social login feature that allows users to create, restore, and access their cryptocurrency wallets using Google or Apple accounts. This update eliminates the need for traditional seed phrases or private keys, which have been considered cumbersome by developers. The seed phrases are still generated privately and remain accessible only to the user through their login credentials. This enhancement aims to simplify the onboarding process and promote broader adoption of crypto wallets. In addition to the social login integration, MetaMask has also incorporated support for .sol domains, enabling users to send, receive, and explore Solana (SOL) assets using human-readable names through the Solana Name Service (SNS). The company also unveiled a new MetaMask logo alongside these feature updates.
