Comet Shortcuts are here. Create shortcuts for repetitive, multi-step tasks, frequent searches, or time-consuming prompts. Just type "/" to set one up. https://t.co/Xa0mUKaFWI
Perplexity on 31 July began rolling out “Comet Shortcuts,” a feature that lets users turn natural-language prompts into reusable commands to automate multi-step web searches and other repetitive tasks. A simple “/” keystroke opens the tool, which the company says will later support sharing and monetisation of user-created shortcuts. The new capability is part of the closed-beta Comet service, which Perplexity positions as an upgrade to its AI-powered search platform. The company said it has sent a fresh round of invitations to prospective testers and will continue expanding access, while encouraging would-be users to subscribe to its paid Max and Pro tiers for faster admission. Perplexity added that further enhancements—including an Agent Store, task management and enterprise features—are in development as it seeks to broaden Comet’s appeal beyond individual users.
