South African pop and R&B artist Tyla released her new single, “Is It,” on 11 July, accompanied by a choreography-driven video directed by Aerin Moreno—who also helmed the visuals for the singer’s 2024 track “Push 2 Start.” Produced by Sammy Soso, the song blends amapiano rhythms with dance-hall elements and a sensual lyrical theme. The video showcases Tyla’s signature Bacardi-inspired moves, culminating in a nightclub dance sequence that positions the track for summer-playlist dominance. “Is It” is Tyla’s second solo release of 2025, following May’s “Bliss.” The 22-year-old Grammy winner, whose 2023 global hit “Water” earned Best African Music Performance, has kept a high profile this year with Coachella and Governors Ball appearances and a hosting stint at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
