FC Barcelona defender Jules Koundé said on Wednesday that he has reached a full agreement with the club to extend his contract by three years, committing him to the Camp Nou side until 2030. The French international told reporters during the team’s pre-season tour in South Korea that the paperwork is "ready" and will be signed once the squad returns to Spain. Koundé, 26, joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2022 and has since become a mainstay in both central defence and at right-back. His previous deal was due to expire in June 2027. He said negotiations were concluded quickly and added that he is "grateful to be at a club that competes for every title each year."
