Velocity Sport Limited (VSL), the ownership group of Premier League club Burnley, has agreed to acquire a 99.7% stake in La Liga club RCD Espanyol from the Chinese company Rastar Group for 130 million euros (approximately 152 million USD). The transaction, which marks a change in majority ownership after nearly a decade under Rastar's control, is expected to generate a net profit of around 150 million Chinese yuan (21 million USD) for the Chinese toymaker and game publisher. The deal was confirmed on July 14, 2025, and positions VSL as the new principal shareholder of Espanyol.
