The Saudi-backed LIV Golf League opened its first European stop of the 2025 season on Friday, teeing off at Andalucía’s historic Real Club Valderrama. Coverage began at 7:00 a.m. Eastern on Fox Sports 2 and the LIV Golf streaming app. Spanish stars Sergio García and Jon Rahm headlined the 54-hole event, returning to a course where both have posted strong performances in past European Tour campaigns. García competes for the Fireballs GC franchise, while Rahm leads the newly formed Legion XIII team. The tournament marks LIV Golf’s latest push into traditional European markets as it expands beyond its established venues in the United States, Asia and the Middle East. Prize money details were not disclosed, but previous LIV events have carried $25 million purses.
