Vinci Lands €1.2 Billion Spanish Biofuel Plant Deal

Vinci SA has been awarded a €1.2 billion contract to design and build a biofuel plant in Spain, according to multiple industry disclosures on 4 August. The facility is expected to produce about 500,000 tonnes of sustainable fuels each year, bolstering Spain’s efforts to cut transport-sector emissions and meet European Union climate targets. The French construction and concessions group will lead engineering, procurement and construction for the project. While the commissioning timeline and offtake agreements were not disclosed, the contract deepens Vinci’s presence in Iberia’s expanding clean-energy market and adds to its recent portfolio of low-carbon infrastructure projects across Europe.
