Major Indian companies are preparing to announce their second quarter results for FY 2024-25. Reliance Industries Ltd., HCL Technologies Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., L&T Technology Services Ltd., Infosys Ltd., and Axis Bank Ltd. are among the key firms scheduled to release their earnings on October 14. Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh Ambani, is expected to report a 10% year-on-year decline in profit due to weakness in its oil-to-chemicals segment. Additionally, the market capitalization of several top firms, including TCS and Reliance, has significantly eroded, with TCS losing ₹35,638.16 crore and Reliance shedding ₹21,351.71 crore. The market capitalization of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) and ICICI Bank also saw declines, contributing to a total erosion of ₹1.22 lakh cr among the top firms. The Sensex and Nifty indices opened higher, driven by positive global cues and anticipation of earnings reports. Stocks such as Ashoka Buildcon and PNC Infratech showed notable gains due to recent order wins.
