This hybrid fund, which offers investors direct exposure to both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in a single product, reflects a broader acceptance of digital assets. The fund's asset allocation is set to comprise 83% Bitcoin and 17% Ethereum, based on market capitalization proportions. The approval comes amidst a surge in investor interest, with spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs seeing inflows of approximately $655 million on January 30. BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, led with $321.5 million in inflows, while its Ethereum ETF, ETHA, saw $79.86 million. Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF, FBTC, and Ethereum ETF, FETH, followed with $209.14 million and $15.41 million in inflows, respectively. Other funds also saw positive activity, with Bitwise's BITB and ARK 21Shares' ARKB recording cumulative inflows of around $35 million, Franklin Templeton's EZBC adding $6.11 million, VanEck's HODL gaining $5.97 million, and Invesco Galaxy's BTCO attracting $5.24 million. Grayscale's Mini Bitcoin Trust and Mini Ethereum Trust rounded out the day with $4.65 million and $12.79 million in new investments, respectively, while Grayscale's Ethereum Trust reported outflows of $40.29 million. This rapid approval process, completed in just 45 days, suggests a potential shift in the SEC's stance on crypto-related financial products under the Trump administration's more industry-friendly approach.
