Strategy Inc., the software firm turned Bitcoin proxy led by Michael Saylor, disclosed that it acquired 3,081 Bitcoin between Aug. 18 and Aug. 24 for roughly $356.9 million at an average price of $115,829. The purchase raises the company’s stash to 632,457 BTC—more than 3 percent of the cryptocurrency’s eventual 21 million-coin supply—and values the holding at about $46.5 billion. Strategy financed most of the latest buy by issuing about $310 million of common stock through its at-the-money program, reviving equity sales it had paused for nearly a month. The move extends a financing model that also includes several series of preferred shares, allowing the Tysons Corner, Virginia-based firm to keep expanding what is already the world’s largest corporate crypto treasury. Separately, BitMine Immersion Technologies said its crypto and cash reserves climbed by $2.2 billion last week to $8.82 billion after it amassed roughly 190,500 Ether tokens. The company, chaired by market strategist Tom Lee, now holds 1.713 million ETH—worth about $8.23 billion—alongside smaller Bitcoin and cash balances, cementing its position as the largest corporate holder of Ethereum and the second-largest overall crypto treasury after Strategy. The twin disclosures underscore persistent institutional demand for digital assets even as Bitcoin trades near $113,000 and Ether around $4,800. Industry data show more than 70 publicly listed companies now control in excess of 4 million ETH, while Saylor’s firm trails only the pseudonymous Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto in aggregate Bitcoin holdings.
