TRUMP: Banks discriminated against conservatives [during the Trump 1.0 / Biden administration].
Trump tells CNBC JPMorgan fired him as a client despite having "hundreds of millions of dollars" in his accounts. Says BofA's Brian Moynihan turned him down personally after he left office.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump said in a CNBC interview on Aug. 5 that JPMorgan Chase & Co. removed him as a client despite what he described as “hundreds of millions of dollars” on deposit and that Bank of America Corp. refused to take his business after he left office. Trump asserted that both banks discriminated against him and other conservatives, adding that Bank of America Chief Executive Officer Brian Moynihan personally declined to maintain a relationship with him. Shares of both lenders slipped in pre-market trading after the remarks. JPMorgan and Bank of America did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
