Switzerland’s export sector rebounded in June, with seasonally and inflation-adjusted shipments rising 6.1% from May, according to data released on Thursday by the Federal Customs Administration. The increase follows a sharply revised 8.1% decline in May, previously reported as a 10.2% drop. Imports grew 0.7% on the month, building on May’s modest 0.5% rise, suggesting a gradual recovery in domestic demand. In a key industry for the country, Swiss watch exports fell 5.6% from a year earlier, an improvement on May’s 9.5% slide, indicating the luxury timepiece sector remains under pressure but is contracting at a slower pace.
