Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on 11 August that Kyiv’s international partners must intensify political and economic pressure on Moscow, arguing that the Kremlin shows no genuine interest in ending its invasion of Ukraine. “Concessions will not convince a murderer,” Zelensky said, adding that only “strong protection of life” can halt Russia’s attacks. He warned that offering compromises would merely embolden Moscow and prolong the conflict.
