A predawn explosion leveled a home on the 8100 block of Callo Lane in Rosedale, Maryland, at about 2 a.m. Tuesday, Baltimore County Fire Department officials said. The blast destroyed the house and damaged a neighboring residence, displacing a family of three. No fatalities or serious injuries had been confirmed as of late morning. Firefighters contained the blaze by 2:59 a.m. and requested support from Baltimore Gas and Electric as well as county fire investigators to determine the cause. Authorities have not yet said whether anyone was inside the destroyed home when the explosion occurred.
