Chainlink, a leading blockchain oracle network, has reported significant developments in its quarterly update for Q1 2025. The company expanded its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to support 25 new blockchains, bringing the total to 50. This expansion has facilitated over $2.2 billion in total volume transferred across these networks. Additionally, 15 blockchains have adopted CCIP as their canonical cross-chain infrastructure. Chainlink also launched several new features, including the mainnet release of Smart Value Recapture (SVR) with Aave, which offers Aave a 65% rate, and Payment Abstraction, enhancing the economic model for DeFi applications. The Multistream upgrade for Data Streams was introduced, supporting a 1000x increase in data throughput, and 77 new Data Streams were deployed. Data Streams were also deployed on Solana, supporting over $1 billion in volume within the first 24 hours. On the governmental front, Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov spoke at the White House Digital Asset Summit, engaging directly with U.S. President Donald Trump. This interaction underscores Chainlink's role in shaping blockchain policy and regulatory frameworks, highlighting its growing influence in the industry. The OCR3 whitepaper was released, and an internal MVP for the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) was completed. In other news, Euler Finance launched on the Avalanche blockchain, achieving $55 million in total value locked (TVL) within 24 hours of its launch. This move indicates strong interest and rapid adoption of DeFi solutions on the Avalanche network.
