A man was shot near Logan Circle in Washington, D.C., on the evening of August 11, 2025. The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. in the 1200 block of 12th Street NW, close to M Street. The victim, whose age is unknown, was found unconscious and not breathing and was rushed to a hospital. Several days later, on August 16, hundreds of protesters gathered at DuPont Circle in Washington, D.C., near the White House, chanting slogans such as "Trump Must Go" and calling to "Save the Constitution" and prevent "fascism." These protests were in response to Trump's deployment of the National Guard and federal officers to the city to address the crime rate, with demonstrators marching toward the White House.
