Since taking office, President Donald Trump's administration has deported approximately 350,000 undocumented immigrants over a seven-month period, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This equates to an average of around 1,600 deportations per day, a notable increase compared to the pre-Obama administration average of 800 daily deportations. The Trump administration has also initiated the deportation of illegal immigrants to Rwanda. Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is intensifying operations in several sanctuary cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle. Tom Homan, a senior ICE official, indicated that the agency is surging resources to these cities, which have resisted cooperation with ICE, citing concerns about public safety threats. The administration’s approach signals a ramp-up in immigration enforcement efforts targeting areas that have traditionally limited ICE activity.
The Trump admin says it has deported roughly 350k illegals. This currently averages out to around 1.6k/illegals/day. The average pre OBBB was somewhere around 800/daily. To get to 350k, post OBBB deportations are at roughly 4k/daily.
