CNN’s latest analysis of national voter-registration files shows the Democratic Party has shed about 2.1 million voters since the 2024 presidential election, while the Republican Party has added roughly 2.4 million. The 4.5 million-voter swing gives Republicans their strongest registration edge in more than two decades, according to CNN polling analyst Harry Enten. The shift is especially pronounced in key battlegrounds. Compared with figures from the start of Donald Trump’s first term, Republican registration shares are up eight percentage points in Pennsylvania, eight in North Carolina, six in Nevada and three in Arizona. CNN and Newsmax report that younger voters account for a sizable portion of the change. Republican National Committee senior adviser Danielle Alvarez said the party holds $84 million in cash ahead of the 2026 congressional midterms, arguing that “every metric looks bad for the Democrats.” President Trump added that Republicans are “poised to win big” and floated the idea of calling a national GOP convention before the vote. Newsmax noted that Democrats are increasingly concerned about losing ground in several of the 30 states where registrations have moved toward the GOP as the midterm campaign season approaches.
Democrats are SCARED of President Trump and Republicans because we are WINNING. They want to try to stop our progress with talks of a “shutdown”, but they won't slow our momentum. @NEWSMAX https://t.co/Vj5XQy7ulT
In the latest poll, a majority of young women support the Socialists, Communists and Green party for the upcoming Norwegian elections. Meanwhile a overwhelming majority of young men support the right-wing and center-right parties. Why the difference?
