Vice President JD Vance said he expects “a lot of people” to be indicted as the Justice Department pursues a criminal investigation into how Obama-era officials handled allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Bondi’s move came after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified documents that she says show officials knowingly tied Trump to Moscow. Vance said indictments should proceed if investigators confirm “aggressive violations of the law,” insisting that consequences are necessary to prevent a repeat in future elections. Vance also rebuffed renewed scrutiny of the unreleased Jeffrey Epstein files by asserting that Democratic politicians, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, had closer ties to the late financier than Republicans did.
