The remark follows the rollout of his AI Action Plan, which seeks to export a full U.S. AI technology stack—spanning hardware, models and software—to partner countries willing to join what the administration calls an American-led AI alliance. Venture capitalist Ron Conway echoed the call for bipartisan support, warning that poor domestic policy could erode the country’s edge. Policy analysts at the Center for Data Innovation added that Washington must pair technology exports with credible, long-term economic partnerships in the Global South if it wants to counter Beijing’s state-backed financing model and cultivate durable markets for U.S. firms.
