White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles offered an unusually expansive public assessment of President Donald Trump’s six-month-old cabinet during an interview released Wednesday on the podcast “Pod Force One.” Wiles said the president “has recruited a team that’s unparalleled,” adding that “there is not one who I would say is not a complete success in what they’re doing.” She singled out Secretary of State Marco Rubio—who is also serving as interim national security adviser and acting head of both the U.S. Agency for International Development and the National Archives—saying he was “born for this” and had “quickly assimilated” into his multiple roles. Rubio, 54, is viewed as a leading contender for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination. Wiles also commended Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Education Secretary Linda McMahon, describing McMahon’s efforts to restructure her department as “an impossible job that she’s done with great grace.” The chief of staff portrayed the group as unusually accomplished, noting it includes “published authors, billionaires, lawyers, a couple of minorities, [and] a Democrat or two.”
