🚨 BREAKING: President Trump says Elon Musk asked him to appoint a “friend” to be Director of NASA. I bet Trump REFUSED and that spoiled the relationship… https://t.co/Zpqq77doL5

🚨BREAKING: Trump says he was "surprised to learn" that @rookisaacman was a Democrat and couldn't pick him to run NASA. https://t.co/Swz6Om1TBo
Former U.S. president Donald Trump said he declined to advance entrepreneur Jared Isaacman as NASA administrator after learning that Isaacman, a long-time Democratic donor and close associate of Elon Musk, had contributed “millions” to Democratic campaigns and had never supported Republicans. Trump added that placing a confidant of Musk in charge of NASA would have been inappropriate because the agency is a major customer of SpaceX, Musk’s privately held rocket company. He said he was “surprised” by Isaacman’s party affiliation and regarded the potential appointment as a conflict of interest given SpaceX’s extensive government contracts.
