The relocation comes roughly a week after Maxwell spent two days meeting in Tallahassee with Deputy U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche, who told reporters he sought information about other individuals potentially involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking network. Neither Blanche nor Maxwell’s legal team have detailed what was discussed, and the Justice Department has not said whether her cooperation influenced the transfer. Maxwell, 62, is serving a 20-year federal sentence imposed in 2022 after her 2021 conviction for recruiting and grooming minors for Epstein. She is appealing the verdict to the U.S. Supreme Court and has also sought executive clemency.
