🇺🇸 Breaking: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene just introduced the 'No Tax on Home Sales Act' to eliminate federal capital gains tax on home sales. The bill aims to: - Unlock equity - Boost housing supply - Bring fairness back to the tax code https://t.co/Xdchd4pOXQ
U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced legislation titled the “No Tax on Home Sales Act” that would abolish the federal capital-gains tax applied to proceeds from selling a primary residence. The measure was filed in the House of Representatives on 10 July. Greene said the bill is intended to let homeowners retain the full appreciation of their properties, arguing that removing the levy would help unlock household equity, increase housing supply and make the tax code more equitable. The proposal would not alter other federal taxes on real-estate transactions, and it would still need to clear both chambers of Congress and be signed by the president before becoming law.
