OpenAI secured the largest funding round ever and is forecasting revenue to reach $100 billion by 2029, although its cumulative spending is expected to be $200 billion. Generative AI startups alone received $3.9 billion in investments during Q3 2024, according to funding tracker PitchBook. Other notable AI startups that raised over $500 million include xAI, CoreWeave, Scale AI, Figure AI, Groq, Mistral, and Cohere.
