Horizon3.ai, a San Francisco-based cybersecurity startup specializing in autonomous penetration testing and threat detection, is raising a $100 million funding round led by NEA, according to an SEC filing and sources. The company has already secured at least $73 million and is expected to reach a valuation of over $750 million. Horizon3.ai, founded in 2019 by Snehal Antani, a former CTO at Splunk and U.S. Special Operations cyber operator, reported $30 million in annual recurring revenue and recently received FedRAMP authorization to sell to federal agencies. Heron Power, an electrical grid technology startup founded by former Tesla executive Drew Baglino, has closed a $38 million Series A funding round led by Capricorn Investment Group. The company is developing solid-state medium-voltage transformers, with its first product named Heron Link, intended to be more compact and responsive than traditional analog models. Heron Power aims for initial installations in early 2027 and is partnering with major energy and data center developers. Other investors include Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, Gigascale Capital, Powerhouse Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, Tesla co-founder JB Straubel, and former Tesla CFO Zach Kirkhorn. Buildots, a technology company focused on construction site management, has raised $45 million in a new funding round led by Qumra Capital, bringing its total capital raised to $166 million. The company uses artificial intelligence and 360-degree cameras to provide real-time updates and future projections for construction projects, enabling managers to make data-driven decisions and anticipate delays or cost overruns. Buildots, which has over 230 employees, plans to use the new funding to expand its product coverage and North American presence. Major clients include Intel and about fifty construction businesses. Rillet, an AI-native ERP startup, has raised $25 million in a Series A round led by Sequoia Capital. The company focuses on automating general ledger systems using artificial intelligence to modernize financial operations for CFOs. Founders Nic Kopp and Stel Modz lead the team. Uplinq, a provider of AI-powered bookkeeping and tax solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, has secured $10 million in a Series A funding round. Zeal Capital Partners has announced the close of its $82 million Fund II to support investments in technology startups. Volteras, a startup offering a single API to control electric vehicles and energy hardware across more than 30 brands, is working to connect more EVs and streamline energy management. The company has received investment from Union Square Ventures.
