Lambda, a company specializing in AI infrastructure and cloud services, has successfully raised $480 million in a Series D funding round at a $2.5 billion valuation, bringing its total equity capital to $863 million. The round was co-led by Andra Capital and SGW, with participation from new investors including Nvidia, Andrej Karpathy, ARK Invest, and others. The funding will be used to expand Lambda's Cloud Platform, enhance its Lambda Model Inference API, and develop its Lambda Chat AI Assistant, which hosts the DeepSeek R1 model. Lambda's focus is on providing infrastructure, cloud services, and software for the fine-tuning, training, and inferencing of AI models, aiming to empower AI developers and end-users with scalable and secure solutions.
