Miami-based Moderne has raised $30 million in Series B funding to address technical debt and drive large-scale code modernization for enterprises. The funding round was led by Acrew Capital, with participation from Morgan Stanley, Amex Ventures, TIAA Ventures, and previous investors such as Allstate and Intel Capital. Moderne utilizes its proprietary platform, built on the OpenRewrite open-source project, to automate code refactoring, enhance application security, and manage complex codebases efficiently. The company’s technology is used by major enterprises, including Walmart and Allstate, and has been integrated into tools from Microsoft, AWS, and Broadcom. Moderne, co-founded by CEO Jonathan Schneider and Olga Kundzich, reported 250% customer growth in 2024 and plans to use the funds to expand its capabilities in application security and AI-driven solutions. Founded in 2020, Moderne relocated to Miami in 2022, employs 50 people, and has raised a total of $50 million to date. The company is also hosting the Code Remix Summit in Miami this May.
