OpenAI has launched the OpenAI Academy, a new initiative aimed at investing in developers and organizations leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to solve hard problems and drive economic growth, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The Academy will provide training, technical guidance, and community-building opportunities. Additionally, OpenAI is distributing $1 million in initial API credits to expand access to its models. The program includes contests and incubator programs in partnership with philanthropists and investors to support AI innovation. Sam Altman announced this initiative as part of the Partnership for Global Inclusivity on AI.
