The future of infrastructure must assume the cloud as a constant. Enter @warpstream_labs which unlocks the "stream" as a ubiquitous, cloud-native primitive available for every developer. We're so pumped to support @richardartoul & @ryanworl after many years of friendship!! 🚀🚀🚀 https://t.co/gULEzbSZ4h

WarpStream, a company focused on modernizing data streaming infrastructure, has successfully raised $20M in funding with the support of Amplify and Greylock, as reported by TechCrunch. Co-founders Richard Artoul and Ryan Worl are at the helm of developing a cloud-native streaming service that aims to be a cheaper alternative to existing solutions like Kafka. This new service, designed to be Kafka compatible and built directly on top of S3, eliminates the need for disk management and offers infinite scalability within a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). The initiative is part of a broader movement towards making streaming data more affordable and accessible, leveraging the cloud as a fundamental component of future infrastructure.
