The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a $25 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) accuses Maduro of leading the criminal organization known as the Cartel of the Suns, involved in narcotrafficking and terrorism. The DEA's reward also extends to other high-ranking Venezuelan officials, including Diosdado Cabello and Vladimir Padrino López. Venezuelan exiles have called on the Trump administration to capture Maduro following his designation as a terrorist leader. The Venezuelan political organization Veppex expressed gratitude to Trump for labeling the Cartel of the Suns as a terrorist organization and urged investigations into over 400 Venezuelan officials. The reward amount was also reported in Brazilian reais as approximately R$140 million.
