Epic Games Store has added Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Platinum Edition to its weekly giveaway program, letting users claim the definitive version of the 2016 strategy title at no cost until 24 July. The promotion applies worldwide and requires only a free Epic account. The Platinum Edition bundles the base game with the major Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm expansions and six additional downloadable content packs, a collection that normally retails for $79.99. Players who previously redeemed the standard edition can upgrade to the fuller package for free during the same window. The offer forms part of Epic’s ongoing effort to attract and retain users through regular free releases. The company said the next giveaway, starting 24 July, will be the tower-defence title Legion TD 2. Separately, the store’s mobile app is offering the narrative puzzle game There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension for iOS and Android at no charge.
