Insta360 has expanded its miniature action-camera line with the GO Ultra, a 53-gram model that shoots 4K video at 60 frames per second. The square-shaped device incorporates a 1/1.28-inch sensor—more than twice the size of the Go 3S’s component—and is powered by a new 5-nanometre AI chip that enables an ‘Active HDR’ setting and PureVideo noise-reduction for low-light scenes. The standalone camera records for up to 70 minutes and is waterproof to 10 metres (IPX8). When docked in the supplied Action Pod, operating time stretches to about 200 minutes and users gain a 2.5-inch flip touchscreen. Unlike earlier models that relied on internal memory, the GO Ultra adds a microSD slot supporting cards up to 2 TB, alongside faster USB-C charging that reaches 80 % capacity in roughly 12 minutes. The GO Ultra ships globally from 21 August at US$449.99—or €429 in Europe—for a standard bundle that includes the Action Pod and magnetic mounting accessories. A Creator Bundle with additional tripod and mounting options costs US$499.99. Insta360 said the device complements rather than replaces the Go 3S, positioning the Ultra as a premium option in its compact-camera portfolio.
