Samsung is actively engaging in discussions with artificial intelligence companies OpenAI and Perplexity AI to integrate expanded AI services into its upcoming Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S26 series. The company aims to diversify its AI offerings beyond Google's Gemini platform, which has been featured prominently in recent Galaxy models. Samsung's mobile chief, Choi Won-Joon, confirmed that Gemini will not be the sole AI assistant in future devices. Additionally, Bloomberg reports that Samsung may consider investing in Perplexity AI. Alongside these developments, Samsung continues to enhance AI capabilities in other models such as the Galaxy A26 5G, A56, and A36 5G, which feature AI-powered functionalities like Gemini Live, Circle to Search, Custom Filters, and Object Eraser to improve user experience.
