Argentina's National Social Security Administration (ANSES) has announced the payment schedule for August 2025, including pensions, retirements, and social benefits. Payments will begin early in the month, with some groups of retirees receiving their funds ahead of schedule. The government confirmed an increase in payments alongside the release of various bonuses, including a one-time payment of 300,000 Argentine pesos and additional bonuses of 40,000, 78,000, 321,000, 380,000, and 390,000 pesos for eligible beneficiaries. These bonuses target pensioners, retirees, and families with children who meet specific criteria. The ANSES also confirmed the payment dates for the Progresar scholarships and the Universal Child Allowance (AUH). Additionally, the government announced it will discontinue certain pensions. Meanwhile, in the United States, concerns were raised about the Social Security program's financial sustainability, with projections indicating that unless Congress acts by 2033, Social Security will only be able to pay about 77% of scheduled benefits, resulting in an estimated 23% cut for all recipients.
