Argentine top-flight side Racing Club de Avellaneda has completed the permanent signing of forward Tomás Conechny from Spain’s Deportivo Alavés. The 26-year-old agreed a deal running until December 2029 and will wear the No. 17 shirt. Conechny becomes Racing’s third incoming player of the current transfer window, as the club looks to bolster its attack ahead of the new season. Elsewhere in the Primera División, Estudiantes de La Plata added experienced centre-back Leandro González Pirez. The 33-year-old left River Plate and penned a contract through December 2027, giving the La Plata club an immediate replacement in central defence.
