A small propeller airplane that took off from Oberschleißheim near Munich, Bavaria, crashed on July 4, 2025, in the Pinzgau region of Salzburg province, Austria. The crash occurred near Wald im Pinzgau, close to Kaprun and the Krimmler waterfalls, in a remote forested area around 12:45 p.m. local time. The aircraft caught fire upon impact, causing a forest fire that emergency responders worked to contain. All four occupants on board, three men and one woman, all German nationals, were killed in the accident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
