Amazon has expanded its online car-buying platform, Amazon Autos, to include used and certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles. This expansion, which launched on August 4 in Los Angeles, initially features used and CPO Hyundai models available through local Hyundai dealers. Previously, Amazon Autos was limited to new Hyundai vehicles. The platform now offers a broader selection, including other brands, with full financing options handled online, aiming to enhance convenience and choice for consumers. This move positions Amazon to increase its presence in the online automotive sales market and could impact competitors such as Carvana ($CVNA), Lithia Motors ($LAD), Asbury Automotive Group ($ABG), AutoNation ($AN), and CarMax ($KMX).
