Electric-vehicle maker Lucid Group has signed Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet to a multi-year agreement as its first global brand ambassador. Chalamet will front the marketing campaign for Lucid’s forthcoming Gravity sport-utility vehicle, slated to reach customers later this year. The actor, described by the company as a long-time admirer and driver of the Lucid Air sedan, will appear in advertising and social-media content promoting the brand. “Together, we’ll show what’s possible when innovation and cultural relevance come together to move the world forward,” said Akerho Oghoghomeh, Lucid’s senior vice president of marketing, in a statement announcing the partnership.
